The people of Wolverton and surrounding areas have been very good to us and we aim to continue to offer the kind of service that has made us win this award. | | As you will read in this newsletter we haven't been sitting still and waiting for business to come to us. we have been out there in the community and further, talking to local businesses and people about our services and products. We have recently been involved in the Dragon Boat Festival at Willen Lake. No, we didn't get a team together but we supplied the winning teams with Bouquets and we got a mention in the Programme. Plus we have recently been on the radio again. Horizon Radio and Plug for a Pound Day (22/7/05). We donated a £1.00 each and for every Bouquet sold over the weekend we donated £1.00. Approx 700 balloons where let free on the day with tags from Children from the Local Schools. Wonder how far they have gone? Secret Garden Open Day 17th July 2005 For those of you who don't know where this is in Wolverton or haven't heard of it, that's why it's a Secret? A group of energetic people have spent a lot of time and effort restoring grounds just behind Electrolux and next to the Canal and Station in Wolverton. They have done a great Job making an area that was once houses and grounds for The Station Master at Wolverton Station into a peaceful place to be. We supplied the balloons and gas and they where blown up in the remains of the Cellar and let off at 3pm. We had a few problems, like the weather was very hot and we really blew the balloons up too early. So we had to rush in the last hour before the launch blowing up more balloons. We did it and they took off. If you can find the Garden go and have a look. Ask us for directions if you're not sure where it is. Free Teddy with every Bouquet sold in August Yes Folks, MAD AUGUST. We are giving away a FREE teddy bear with every Hand Tied Bouquet Sold in August. (not actual teddy) The size of the Teddy Bear will vary according to the size of the Bouquet. For example our Hand Tied Bouquets start from £20.00 so a teddy approx 3" tall is available. The size of teddy will increase with the size of Bouquet ordered. We have a range of Teddy Bears and other gifts, such as Candle Lights, small Vases, and Balloons. We will feature these other gifts in the next few issues of our Newsletter. Pound-A-Plug Day 22nd July 2005 The Community Foundation and Horizon Radio organise this event every year.
